The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has directed Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria to report to the nearest police station to records a statement over his rigging allegations.

In a post on their social media pages, DCI ordered Kuria, who is seeking the Kiambu County governor seat on a UDA ticket, to record a statement over his poll rigging plot allegations.

“The attention of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations has been drawn to a sensational social media post attributed Gatundu South M.P Hon. Moses Kuria, insinuating very serious allegations in respect to election offences”, said DCI in the post on Monday evening.

DCI, which is headed by George Kinoti, wants the controversial legislator to shed more light on a series of posts on his social media pages alleging a plot by some quarters to rig the poll.

“The Directorate is urging the legislator to urgently report to any police station or DCI office close to him, to help with investigations for appropriate and immediate action,” DCI went on.

It added, “A formal statement will go a long way in giving leads for quick action.”

The move by DCI comes after Kuria shared a series of posts on social media alleging some government and pol officials were involved in a ploy to rig the August 9 General Election.
