A mechanical hitch forced Kalonzo Musyoka's chopper to make an emergency stop in Suswa, Narok while he was en route to Homa Bay to join the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition presidential candidate Raila Odinga and other leaders from the coalition on Sunday.

Andrew Leteipa Ole Sunkuli who was in another chopper went ahead of his party leader and was the first person to break the news about the chopper’s mishap to the members of the public at the Homa Bay rally.

"I am here now to represent and pass the greetings of the Wiper leader Kalonzo. He was on his way here but the chopper he was travelling in experienced a small problem. But he will catch up with us in the course of the day,"

Kalonzo also took to his social media accounts to inform members of the public about the little mishap and to assure them the problem was resolved and was on his way to Homa Bay to join his counterparts for a series of political activities in the Nyanza.

"Off to join my brother Raila Odinga and the Azimio-One Kenya team in Homabay County after a technicality that forced us to land in Suswa and delayed for some hours. The Buffalo is ready," Kalonzo wrote.

The Azimio coalition team held a series of rallies in the Nyanza Region over the weekend where they drummed up support for the party and their presidential candidate Raila.
