Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya Council Secretary-General Junet Mohamed has scoffed at the Kenya Kwanza Alliance power-sharing deal that was signed on Sunday.

Junet termed the agreement drafted by Kithure Kindiki as an elaborate con game by Deputy President William Ruto which was designed to manage ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, FORD-Kenya leader, Moses Wetangula, PAA leader Amason Kingi and MCC leader Alfred Mutua.

"Musalia, Wetangula, Kingi and Mutua have been conned by Ruto. These four men have been allocated positions Ruto said would not exist. Our friends you are conned in an elaborate con game and wash wash scheme," Junet said.

He further stated the conditions preset for the realisation of the promises given were unrealistic.

The Migori MP also accused Ruto of strongly opposing the BBI, yet he wants to introduce a position that was provided for in the document.

"Ruto has opposed the BBI vehemently for the last five years and now today he is creating the same position BBI was advocating for,” Junet said.

“He spoke at Bomas 1 and Bomas 2 like someone from the moon and told Kenyans that we do not need positions.”

Junet also accused Ruto of being a hypocrite and wants to reinvent the BBI through unorthodox means.

"That tells you what kind of character we are dealing with; a hypocrite per standard. Now he is reinventing BBI through the back door," said Junet.

According to the document that was deposited with the Registrar of Political Parties, all the other Kenya Kwanza principals have to deliver a prescribed percentage of presidential votes from their respective regions.

Mudavadi and Wetangula have to deliver 70 per cent of the Western Kenya votes in the August elections for Ruto.

Kingi must ensure also that 50 per cent of presidential votes cast in Kilifi County are in favour of Ruto while Mutua will need to deliver 35 per cent of the presidential votes to Ruto from Machakos, Makueni and Kitui counties.
