A 21-year-old man was arraigned in Milimani Law Courts on Monday before Chief Magistrate Wendy Kagendo Micheni for touching a 34-year-old woman’s buttocks without her permission.
He was charged with intentionally and unlawfully touching the buttocks of the woman without her will.
“You are charged that on March 10, 2022, along Murang’a Road, Nairobi, you intentionally and unlawfully touched the buttocks of Makena Sara Ngari with your hands against her will,” Micheni said.
Ramadhan Johnson is alleged to have committed the offence on March 10, 2022, along Murang’a Road in Nairobi.
Ramadhan accosted the woman who happens to be a business lady along the road when she was on her way to return an umbrella to her store.

According to the police report, Ramadhan intentionally touched Makena Sara Ngari on her buttocks with his bare hands and pulled her towards his body.
“While coming back from the store as she was walking along a narrow path, she was attacked by the accused person who intentionally touched her buttocks with his hands and pulled her towards his body,” court documents read.
The victim reported that during that time when Ramadhan was indecently touching her, three more men appeared and from what she saw, it seemed that was a choreographed move to abuse her.
She immediately broke loose from Ramadhan and fled the scene.
Efforts to have the matter get settled amicably out of court were fruitless after Ramadhan turned down emissaries sent by Makena to go ask him to own up his mistake and apologise for the same.
This left Makena with no option but to seek legal redress.
“You are charged with committing an indecent act with an adult contrary to section 11(A) of the sexual offences Act no.3 of 2006,” the charge sheet read in part.
Ramadhan however, denied the charges and was released on a Sh300,000 bond or an alternative cash bail of Sh100,000.
The matter will be mentioned on March 28, 2022.
