Two young women have been charged in Kibera Law Courts with obtaining credit by false pretences and causing a disturbance in a manner likely to breach the peace.

Evy Cheptoo and Delilah Raila imbibed expensive liquor and gobbled down expensive food at a Kilimani bar in Nairobi but refused to pay.

Apart from that, the duo breached peace by hurling insults at one Gregory Nzamba of Black Stars Lounge and other patrons at the restaurant.

According to police reports, Cheptoo and Delilah went berserk in the wee hours of the night, causing mayhem for patrons.

Efforts to calm the two hysterical ladies down and have them acknowledge their bill bore no fruits as they dismissed Nzamba.

Even after sobering up later, the two ladies stood their ground and totally refused to foot their bill.

The establishment’s management was left with no choice but to report the matter to Kilimani Police Station from where officers went to the pub and apprehended the two miscreants.

They, however, denied all the charges when they appeared before Senior Resident Magistrate Renee Kitangwa and were released on a Sh30,000 cash bail each.

Their case will be mentioned on March 24, 2022.
