Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has failed to appear in a Nairobi court for the hearing of his education certificate forgery case.
Sudi claims he has contracted Covid-19, therefore, could not attend the hearing on Tuesday.
His legal advisors told trial magistrate Felix Kombo that Sudi was self-isolating on the advice of his doctors.
Sudi, through his lawyer Thomas Ruto asked the court to adjourn the matter for thirty days to allow for his recovery.
Kombo allowed the MP's plea and adjourned the hearing of the case to March 20, 2022, since the prosecution did not oppose the request, either.

Sudi was charged with forging his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) certificate and his diploma certificate in Business Management and purported they were genuine documents.
He presented a certificate from Highway Secondary School yet the code on his certificate belongs to Parkland Secondary School.
Glaring discrepancies on Sudi's certificates emerged when the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) asked the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) to find out whether Sudi sat for KCSE in 2006 at Highway School.
KNEC testified in court that the code appearing on Sudi’s KCSE does not belong to the school he purportedly sat for the exam.
