Former Migori County Senator and Kenya’s High Commissioner to Nigeria Dr Wilfred Gisuka Machage is dead.

The family of Machage has confirmed his death in Nigeria following an illness while in Nigeria aged 65.

Machage served as the Member of Parliament for Kuria Constituency in 2022.

He has served in several government ministries as an assistant minister and was, at one time appointed a cabinet minister for East African Community Affairs.

Machage also got appointed Assistant Minister of Home Affairs' Office of Vice President, Office of the President, Health, and Roads.

He became the first Senator of Migori County in 2012 until 2017.

President Uhuru Kenyatta appointed Machage on January 27, 2018, as an Ambassador and until his demise, he was Kenya’s High Commissioner to Nigeria and accredited to 12 other countries in central and west Africa.
