ODM leader Raila Odinga is visiting Murang'a County for the first time to sell the message of Azimio la Umoja.

His visit to the county has been dubbed Azimio Mtaani Murang’a and he was scheduled to address a major rally at the Ihura Stadium in Murang’a town.

His visit to the county comes shortly after President Uhuru Kenyatta signed the Political Parties (Amendment) Bill into law

He will outline his ten-point agenda under the Azimio la Umoja and seek the region’s support for his agenda.

The former premier is also expected to drum support for his presidential bid from the people of Murang'a county ahead of the August 9 elections.

Among key issues Raila is likely to address is how he will improve the Agriculture sector, which appears to be Murang'a's main economic activity.
