Former Citizen TV news anchor and renowned journalist Hussein Mohamed has been appointed the Head of Communications in Deputy President William Ruto’s presidential campaign.
Hussein was appointed to his new position on Monday at Ruto’s residence in Karen.
Ruto took to his Twitter account to make the announcement of Hussein’s appointment.

Other members of the Hustler Nation who were at Hussein’s welcome event included Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, Kikuyu Constituency MP Kimani Ichung’wa and Turkana County Governor Josphat Nanok.
The journalist quit his job at Royal Media Services on October 4, 2020, after 10 years at the media house.
He attributed his departure from the media house to a fallout with his bosses whom he felt had sidelined him.
