Sources say the night office raid is linked to an alleged land grabbing case that is under investigation.
However, it is not clear if Wanjigi was on the premises at the time of the raid but a report from another source has indicated Wanjigi, his son and some staff members were holed up inside the office during the raid.
Images grabbed from CCVT footage that have since gone viral show more than a dozen police officers armed to the teeth on the premises.
This is not the first time Wanjigi is facing that kind of raid. After the bangled 2007 general elections, the DCI detectives raided Wanjigi's and confiscated his firearms, which they said he illegally possessed.
The case saw Wanjigi get locked in court battles with the DCI boss George Kinoti when he sued Kinoti for contempt of court after he refused to return the firearms to Wanjigi defying a court order.
