A police crackdown on illegal immigrants netted 91 Ethiopian nationals at a house in Kitengela, Kajiado County on Friday evening.

Out of the ninety-one individuals, forty-four of them are still juveniles

The immigrants are suspected to have been smuggled into the country from the neighbouring country.

The preliminary police report revealed that the ninety-one Ethiopians were ferried to the premises in Kitengela, in a trailer.

The house is their temporary holding place while the smugglers seek means to sneak them to other countries.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) is conducting further investigations into the case in a bid to dismantle the human trafficking syndicate and nab the perpetrators.

The suspects have been booked into various police stations for questioning and relevant legal procedures as they assist police with investigations.
