Interior CS Fred Matiang'i has urged all professional's to support education institutions located in regions where they were born as a way of giving back to the society and as an investment for future generations.

Matiang'i made the remarks at Sironga Girls High School in Nyamira County when he was laying a foundation stone for the construction of 3000 capacity multipurpose hall that will cost Sh80 million raised by the good Samaritan.

Currently the school has 2,103 students.

Later, the CS laid another foundation stone for the construction of 1000 capacity dormitory at Riooga Secondary School. 

The school currently has enrolled 1,717 students and 72 teachers.

Matiang'i noted that the government will construct 11,600 new CBC classes that will be completed on schedule in 7074 public schools across the country.
