A fuel tanker overturned along the Mai Mahiu Road on Tuesday afternoon, according to report reaching Swala Nyeti.

The cause of the accident is yet to be established even as videos circulated of the local residents siphoning fuel from the overturned tanker oblivious of the danger that posed.

No casualties or injuries have been reported yet.

In the video, tens of people can be seen carrying jerry cans rushing to and from the scene of the accident helping themselves with the fuel from the navy blue tanker.

The residents scramble to fetch the leaking fuel as some passersby recorded the scenes.
