Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi now wants politicians banned from using school buses to ferry their supporters during political campaigns.

Speaking after attending a service at St Jude Catholic Church in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County, Mudavadi urged the government to act against politicians using school buses in campaigns.

He says state resources should not be used to give some leaders undue political advantage.

Earlier this year, Education Cabinet Secretary Prof George Magoha banned the hiring of school buses for non-academic activities across the country to combat the spread of Covid-19.

Prof Magoha warned school administrators against hiring out the vehicles for other purposes.

In that regard, the ANC party leader urged Kenyans to vet their leaders well before electing them into office come next year’s General Election.

Without mentioning names, Mudavadi also challenged Kenyan politicians to start telling Kenyans the truth and avoid giving out promises they know they cannot fulfil.

He called on the government to assure Kenyans of a free and fair general election in 2022.
