The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader is in Makueni county for a series of Azimio la Umoja public rallies where he has been joined by three Ukambani leaders Kivutha Kibwana, Charity Ngilu, and Alfred Mutua.

Mutua said the leaders from Ukambani recognize the commitment of Odinga to address the economic development challenges facing the region through expansion of and value addition in Agriculture investment and upscaling of social protection.
Mutua said the region remembers his past and present records of commitment to strengthening devolution and bringing in more resources to the counties.
The governor added the leaders from Ukamba recognizes Odinga's commitment to working with the leaders from the region with a view of ensuring that the region is fairly represented in senior ranks of government.
Mutua said as leaders they recognize Odinga's commitment to the pursuit of change and transformation in Kenya and they are keen to be a party to his promises and agenda.
Summarizing his speech, Mutua urged Ukambani residents to rally behind Odinga for them to be part of the next government.
