“Today morning at 5.45 Am, immediately after the boarding master and teacher on duty put the students in class, we saw some fire from the dormitory,” Orina said.
Orina said no student was injured during the incident.
Kakamega County Deputy Police Commander Daniel Mutisia confirmed the incident and said that they received the report about the fire from the school principal.
“We received a report from the principal that one of the dormitories has caught fire. Upon arriving at the school, we established that two dorms were on fire, we called for help from the county’s fire department who responded in time and helped us put off the fire,” said Mutisia.
The investigation is currently ongoing to establish the cause of the inferno.
