CEO Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) Kui Kariuki has said there is a need to show the benefits of women's leadership and inclusion at all levels in the public.

Kui said that companies with women occupying leadership roles will probably register high profits than those firms fully occupied with men.

"In fact, companies with a majority of women in board leadership outperform those with fewer women on boards by about 66 per cent," said Kariuki.

According to Kui, there is a need for the development of a policy framework for gender mainstreaming in the private sector, a board diversity and inclusion survey, and women in the business mentorship program.

Kui made the remarks during the forum on promoting the advancement of women in Kenya at the Villa Rosa Kempinski Hotel.

Racheal Shebesh who was in attendance said they are watching all political parties to ensure that women get equal status as men who are vying, the resources for the party that is given to men should also be given to these women.

"We are putting political parties on notice that we are watching them ensure that women get a safe space. First of all, to compete with equal status as men who are vying, the resources for the party that are given to men should also be given to these women," said Shebesh.

Shebesh said that political parties need to ensure equal sharing of resources between men and women.

Other notable leaders who attended the event are Senator Farhiya Ali, Amb. Dr. Mary Mbiro Khimulu, Dennitah Gati (virtual), Hon. Beth Mugo (virtual), and Priscillah Nyokabi.
