Dagoretti North Member of Parliament Simba Arati has dismissed the bottom up economic model championed by the Deputy President William Ruto by saying that the Gusii Community is Industrious.

Speaking in Nyacheki ward, Bobasi Constituency when opening ODM voter sensitization office, urged the residents to turn up a register in the ongoing mass voter registration.

The lawmaker who was also accompanied by Kitutu Chache South Member of Parliament Richard Onyonka and 6 other members of the county assembly, declared his interest in vying for Kisii gubernatorial seat.

Arati drummed up support for the former Prime minister and ODM leader Raila Odinga’s bid in the next general elections.

Arati is expected to lock horns in the ODM primaries for the gubernatorial ticket with Kisii County Senator Prof Sam Ongeri and Kisii Woman Representative Janet Ongera.

Kisii county Deputy Governor Joash Mangi, Nyaribari Masaba MP Ezekiel Machogu are also eyeing for the same seat.
