Police temporarily disrupted the burial of Member of County Assembly (MCA) for Madhoo ward, Ronald Habel Sagurani.
They stormed the late Sagurani’s home and chased mourners away, claiming they were in excess of the allowed number of persons per funeral. They also dismantled the tents that were pitched for the ceremony.

However, the number of mourners surged above the permitted limit, prompting the police to disperse the crowd.

He condemned the actions of the police and said they were cheap politics. He also said they were disrespectful to the late MCA’s family.
While addressing the mourners, the DP responded to the calls of his boss President Uhuru Kenyatta, to resign. He said his character cannot allow him to retreat as he is on a mission.
“I am a man of ambition and I am on a mission I cannot retreat because my character does not allow that,” Ruto said.
He urged all leaders to work together peacefully and avoid confrontations.
Sagurani was Taita Taveta County Assembly Leader of Minority and he died at Pandya Hospital in Mombasa.
