Kamukunji police have arrested a man believed to have been the same one caught on camera stealing a side mirror on a moving vehicle in Nairobi traffic.

The man is seen fleeing the scene after plucking the mirror from a wine red Mazda CX-5 as the helpless motorist watches and tries to move but is sandwitched by other cars in traffic.

The police are still holding the suspect in custody as they conduct investigations before arraigning him in court over the incident whose video went viral.

His arrest comes a few days after the Nairobi County Police Commander Augustine Nthumbi announced the formation of a multi-agency team to tackle the rising cases of crime within the city and its environs.

Residents of Nairobi and its environs have raised concerns over the recent surge in criminal activities and shared their lamentations on the various social media platforms.

The messages seem to have caught the attention of the authorities and have acted in a bid to curb all criminal activities.
