Migori County Governor Zachary Okoth Obado has declared his exit from Raila Odinga’s Orange Democratic Movement.

Obado also announced that he would be joining the race to state house on either a new party or People’s Democratic Party (PDP), the same party that got him into office.

Obado said that One Kenya Alliance was working in cahoots with a popular politician to destabilize, sabotage and isolate Raila.

He however mentioned no names of the purported politician or the people in One Kenya Alliance.

Musalia Mudavadi’s Amani National Congress, Kalonzo Musyoka’s Wiper Democratic Movement and Moses Wetangula’s Ford-Kenya parties formed one Kenya Alliance.

He further said that Raila is being used by the same people who roped him into a partnership.

The relationship between Raila and Obado has always alternated between chilly and lukewarm with several people claiming that Obado was not Raila’s choice for Migori County but Senator Ochilo Ayacko.

The governor decried favouritism by his party leader when he was denied the party certificate and that is when he opted for PDP

Obado urged the people of Migori County to rally behind him in his quest for the Presidency through the PDP party.

He said that his choice of vehicle to the State House (PDP) is the party that he first started with and got him into office.

He however dismissed any affiliation between the PDP party with DP William Ruto.
