The lifeless body of Keegan Oyugi, a Kenyan national, residing in Minnesota USA has been found.

Oyugi whose body was found in his red Ford Mustang car was reported missing on June 12, 2020.

According to the Minnetrista Police news release, the Minnetrista Public Safety Department received information about a vehicle matching the description of Keegan’s car off Highway 13, in Savage.

The investigators who responded to the scene found a scene involving a single-car crash. They immediately identified the vehicle positively as one that fit the description of Keegan’s car.

Upon further investigation of the site, they found a dead male in the driver’s seat of the car who matched the description of Keegan and the clothing he had on matched the ones he was last seen wearing.

The deceased was 26 years old and a talented basketball player who once played for the Kenya Ports Authority.

Sources close to his family say that Keegan had been planning to come back to Kenya in a month to play professionally.

His family made a public appeal to well-wishers to help locate their kin after filing a missing person’s report.

"We don’t know what to do, we have no leads, no nothing. So we’re appealing to the public, we’re appealing to whomever who can come out and help us. It’s my son and I want to find him I want to know what happened to him." said Mirriam Oyugi, Keegan’s mother.

Keegan recently graduated from Crown College where he also played for the school's basketball team.
