Former UNCTAD Secretary-General and 2022 Presidential candidate Dr Mukhisa Kituyi has deactivated his Twitter account a day after his alleged nudes were leaked.

In a thorough dig by swalanyeti.co.ke, Dr Kituyi deleted his official page verified page on Friday, June 18.

It remains unknown why he opted for the unceremonious exit from Twitter.


Kituyi has maintained silence amidst the online drama involving him even after getting support from a prominent leader among them' moral cop Ezekiel Mutua who condemned such behaviour.

According to Mutua, sharing a naked video of such a respected man shows how society had sunk low.

“Dr Mukhisa Kituyi is a globally respected intellectual powerhouse and one of Kenya’s best leadership brands. He’s an elder, a husband and a father. To drag his private moments - real or perceived, into the public is evidence of how low we have sunk as a society. SAD!” said Mutua.

This came a day after a video went viral online showing a man with striking resembling to Kituyi completely naked.

In the video, the man alleged to be Kituyi was filmed while taking a nap and a lady’s leg placed on his thighs.
