6-man gang terrorizing the public within the Nairobi Central Business District

A gang of about 4-6 members has been terrorizing the public within the Nairobi Central Business District.

The gang that is notorious operates within the environs of 680 Hotel, Bruce House along Standard Street.

Witnesses that have fallen prey to this deadly gang say that one of the gang members usually wields a dagger that he uses to scare or harm their victims.

The hoodlums who spring to action from 7:30 pm also operate around the City Hall.

Other gangs recruit the services of street children and operate along Aga Khan Walk around Reinsurance Plaza while some take to Taifa Road to mug and steal from the public.

There are growing concerns from members of the public about insecurity within the Nairobi CBD.

One such member shared a tweet warning Nairobians about the mugging hotspots within the CBD and other concerned members joined in the conversation sharing their experiences.

Others challenged the security organs and the IG to intervene before the city is lost to the thugs.

Iza man. In march I was accosted by a group of 6 guys on moi Avenue just before Nairobi sports house at around 7pm. They were going for the laptop but I jumped on the road almost getting hit by a vehicle in the process

@IG_NPS @DCI_Kenya I thought you guys used to have plain clothes policemen and women on patrol along these streets 24/7. What happened? Also these streets have good cctv surveillance or your guys have gone rouge and are in coalition with these gangs?
