Kenyan security analyst and ex-military man Mwenda Mbijiwe has gone missing, the family says.
Mbijiwe’s family said that the last location where his phone signal was active was along Thika Road.
A friend of Mbijiwe’s Dennis Nthumbi made an announcement through his Twitter account about his disappearance and appealed for the information to be widely shared.
Hey guys I have been credibly informed that a friend and a security expert Hon Mwenda Mbijiwe is Missing.
He was last heard from on Saturday,
His phone is off and the car he was Using Cannot be traced.

Mbijiwe was last heard of last Saturday when he was en route Meru from Nairobi in a hired vehicle before his trail went cold
He has since been unreachable through his phone and the car he was travelling in is also yet to be recovered.
The family filed a missing person’s report at Central Police Station two days ago after the attempts to reach him bore no fruits.
Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations have initiated a search for the private security consultant.
Captain Mbijiwe is the CEO of a security firm known as the Eye On Security Kenya Limited.
He vied for the Meru County Gubernatorial seat in the 2017 general election but lost to Kiraitu Murungi.
