The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party Secretary General Edwin Sifuna has come out strongly to debunk rumours that have been circulating to the effect that he had been fired.

There have been reports circulating on various media platforms that ODM leader Raila Odinga had allegedly fired Sifuna from his position, despite a person getting to the position through party elections.

When informed by a tweep on twitter about his purported dismissal, Sifuna brushed it off with a response; "Atleast they haven't announced my death."

The ODM's Director of Communication Philip Etale also came out to clear the air on the issue and urged the ODM supporters to treat any such information that does not come from the Orange House as rumours.

Sifuna has held the position of the ODM Secretary General since his appointment in February 2018.

He took over from the then acting Secretary General Agnes Zani who filled in the position temporarily after former Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba left the position vacant when he ditched ODM.
