Police are looking for former Sports Rashid Echesa after he was caught on film slapping an IEBC officer in the Matungu parliamentary by-election in Kakamega County.

Echesa is reported to have gone into hiding immediately after the incident recorded during an altercation at Bulonga polling center.

An enraged Echesa is seen in the video that has gone viral quarreling the IEBC officer accusing him of chasing their poll agent out of the polling station during voting. 

“You cannot chase our agents outside. Why are you chasing them outside? Uliambiwa by who?” he says then slaps slapping the poll official.

At the same time, police have arrested Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei alongside MPs Didmus Barasa, Wilson Kogo and Nelson Koech, over claims of voter intimidation during the ongoing Kabuchai mini poll  in Bungoma County.

The London-Ward by-election in Nakuru County was also marred by chaos that saw Langata MP Nixon Korir chased from polling station following a confrontation between Tangatanga MPs and police.
