Jubilee Party has continued with its purge on its members perceived to be errant by removing Soy MP Caleb Kositany as the Deputy Secretary General with immediate effect.

Kositany, who is allied to and is a strong defender of Deputy President William Ruto, has been replaced by Cherangany MP Joshua Kutuny, in a decision announced in a letter signed by party Secretary General Raphael Tuju .

Jubilee on Monday announced that the decision was made following a meeting by the party’s National Management Committee on Monday.

Kositany has been championing Ruto’s ‘Hustler Narrative’ and campaigning for his 2022 presidential bid, a move President Uhuru Kenyatta and his allies have openly opposed.

President Kenyatta has recently been bashing the DP daring him to resign from government if he was not content with its achievement, even as Ruto has remained adamant he will stay put.

Jubilee last month suspended nominated Senators Isaac Mwaura, Millicent Omanga, Mary Seneta Yiane, Waqo Naomi Jilo, Victor Prengei and Iman Dekow over alleged disloyalty.

However, the decision was suspended by the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal to allow the affected party members to get a fair hearing over the party resolutions.
