Azimio La Umoja coalition party leader Raila Odinga claims former IEBC chairman Wafula Chebulati and the two former commissioners visited his home ahead of the September 15 presidential results announcement.

Raila vows to reveal details and reasons of the alleged meeting with Chebukati, Boya Molu and Abdi Guliye if the three do not come forth and do it themselves in the coming days.

He was addressing his supporters at Jacaranda grounds in Nairobi coming days after the former IEBC bosses alleged unnamed persons tried to bribe them to alter election results.

Raila told the Azimio crowd that Chebukati, Molu and Guliye had asked him for something but he did not disclose exactly what it was, only stating he had evidence to back his claims.

“Chebukati says there are people who wanted to bribe him. His colleagues Guliye and Molu as well. I want to ask the: What did they come to my place to do? What did they ask me for? I have the photo evidence with me and they joke I will make them public,” said Raila.

Raila also backed the allegations by former Jubilee Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju that they also visited his Karen home on an unclear mission and there was a video proof.

The former Prime Minister also faulted the Justice Aggrey Mucheule led tribunal probing the conduct of the “Cherera Four” saying it was skewed with a predetermined outcome.

Appearing before the tribunal last week, Chebukati claimed Tuju and a host of officials from the National Security Advisory Council tried to bribe them to declare Raila the poll victor.

Speaking earlier during a service at Jesus Teaching Ministry in Donholm, Raila asked President William Ruto to admit he did not win the August 9, 2022 presidential election.

He blasted Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza for the current high taxation against Kenyans who are already grappling with the high cost of living.

“You Ruto has become Zacchaeus the Tax collector for Kenyans. Accept that you were defeated in the election, leave State House for Baba to get in. We are speaking the truth, we do not want war, and we do not want threats. We have our rights as Kenyans, and it cannot be snatched by a hawk, Kenyans deserve a leader that they elected,” stated Raila.

He dismissed the decision by Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) boss Mohamed Amin to investigate 2022 election rigging claims revealed by a supposed IEBC whistleblower.

“I have seen DCI saying he wants to conduct an investigation. DCI, you are an employee of Ruto, you cannot conduct investigations,” he intimated.

In a statement dated January 25, DCI boss Amin Mohamed noted that the police branch has received numerous complaints regarding the elections, faulting the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) for running a faulty election.

"Instructively, the complainants contend that there are various manipulations that point to documentary falsification and outright forgery of the subject documents," read part of the statement.

He said DCI is investigating the validity and authenticity of the documents in question, asking IEBC to provide Forms 34B that were used to tally, verify and declare the result of the presidential elections of 9th August 2022.
