A court in Nairobi has terminated a case filed against Esther Muli Nthenya, a teacher, who had earlier been linked to the death of Machakos Senator Boniface Kabaka.

This is after an investigating officer told the court that he had found no evidence to charge her over Senator Kabaka’s sudden death last year.

The late Machakos senator was in December rushed to Nairobi Hospital after he developed complications while in the company of Muli, not his wife, at an apartment in Kilimani estate.

Police arrested her then and questioned her to shed more light on what exactly transpired between the two of them leading to his demise.

She was later arraigned in Nairobi and charged with attempted murder but she’s now free.

On the fateful day, Kabaka reportedly complained of a headache and asked for painkillers but she called in managers of the apartment who rushed him to Nairobi Hospital where he died.
