Huruma Police Station officers have arrested a prime suspect linked to multiple robberies with violence along Juja Road and Huruma estate in Nairobi.

The knife-wielding suspect identified as Silvanus Ochieng’ and his two accomplices were arrested after a brief chase with the police at Huruma grounds after their victim raised a distress call.

The trio had accosted their victim on Monday evening in Huruma and violently robbed him of his mobile phones and an unknown amount of money.

Ochieng is part of the gang that has been terrorising innocent citizens in public service vehicles plying the Juja Road by stealing mobile phones and other valuables.

After his arrest, the victim of their robbery positively identified him in an identification parade at the Huruma Police Station.

Detectives are processing Ochieng’ before his arraignment in court for robbery with violence.
