The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) issued a movement advisory following the temporary disruption of traffic flow on the busy Uhuru Highway.

KeNHA announced the traffic disruption via a public notice issued on Friday urging motorists and pedestrians to take extra caution as they use the said section of the road.

According to the KeNHA notice, the section of Uhuru Highway/Mombasa Road from the University Way Roundabout to Nyayo Stadium Roundabout will have some drainage enhancement works.

"The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) wishes to notify the public and motorists to exercise caution as they transit through the section of Uhuru Highway/Mombasa Road from the University Way Roundabout to Nyayo Stadium Roundabout," the notice read.

"Road drainage enhancement works are being implemented and motorists and pedestrians are encouraged to adhere to the temporary traffic detours and signage in place."

KeNHA said the work will be carried out from Friday, through the weekend to Monday to avoid heavy traffic interruption.

"The works will be carried out daily from Friday, November 25, 2022, to Monday, November 28, 2022, between 9.00 pm and 6.00 am to avoid disruption to traffic and inconvenience to road users," KeNHA said.

The authority further advised motorists to cooperate with the traffic police and traffic marshals on site.
