Police have arrested four suspects linked to the murder of 24-year-old Keagan Githua, who was stabbed to death by thugs on a motorcycle in Ridgeways, Kiambu County on October 30.

Officers from the DCI Starehe office pounced on one of the suspects during a Tuesday dawn operation at a city toilet along River Road, before nabbing his three abettors in Githurai.

During the dawn raid, the DCI detectives also recovered the late Githua’s smartphone device that had been stolen on the day he was viciously accosted by thugs and murdered.

According to DCI, the modus operandi of the gang was studied by officers based at the Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau who established that it operated from Githurai.

Keagan, who recently graduated from Strathmore University with a degree in Information Technology, was stabbed on the chest by the thugs while fleeing after stealing his mobile phone.

DCI says its officers are continuing with their operation to apprehend more members of the said criminal gang in Githurai area and other parts of Nairobi City County in upscaled efforts to curtail an upsure in the number of criminal gangs terrorizing residents.
