President William Ruto has appointed several individuals to the senior ranks of the Executive Office of the President.

The outgoing Head of Public Service, James Kinyua, announced the appointment via a notice on Friday

“IT IS NOTIFIED that HIS EXCELLENCY HON. WILLIAM SAMOEI RUTO, PhD, CGH, has on this fourteenth day of October 2022 made various appointments to the senior ranks of the Executive Office of the President,” the notice read.

The following names have featured in Ruto’s latest appointment list in various capacities:

Felix K. Koskei has been appointed Chief of Staff and replaces Kinyua as the new Head of the Public Service. Josphat Koli Nanok will deputise Koskei as the Deputy Chief of Staff.

David K. Ndii has been appointed the Chairperson, President's Council of Economic Advisers, while Augustine Cheruiyot has been appointed Senior Advisor & Head of Economic Transformation Secretariat.

Kamau Thugge will be the Senior Advisor and Head of Fiscal Affairs & Budget Policy and Mohammed Hassan has been appointed a Member of the President's Council of Economic Advisers.

The president has appointed Nancy Laibuni, the only lady on the list, as an Associate Member of the President's Council of Economic Advisers.

Ruto has also appointed Katoo Ole Metito as the Statehouse Comptroller

The president has appointed renowned journalist and former Citizen TV news anchor Hussein Mohamed as the Statehouse Spokesperson, while David Mugonyi will be the Head of the Presidential Communication Service.
