According to KeNHA, the affected section which is along the service lane (Nyayo bound lane) between T-Mall Roundabout and Madaraka Roundabout will be closed to enable the erection of the T-Mall footbridge.

“The Kenya National Highways Authority (KENHA) wishes to notify the public that a section of Langata Road, along the service lane (Nyayo bound lane) between T-Mall Roundabout and Madaraka Roundabout will experience traffic disruptions,” the statement read.

“This follows planned closure of the road to pave way for the erection of the T-Mall River Footbridge. The installation of the footbridge is to ensure a continuous pedestrian walkway.”

In the statement, KeNHA said the section will be closed on Sunday, September 25, 2022, for twelve hours from 5.00 am to 5.00 pm

KeNHA advised motorists to follow the proposed traffic management plan, as shown in a diagram on the statement.

They also appealed to motorists to cooperate with the police and traffic marshals on site to facilitate effortless movement of traffic.

“Motorists from Raila Odinga Way (formerly Mbagathi Way) and Langata headed towards Madaraka Roundabout are advised to take Ole Sangale Link or Mai Mahiu Roads,” the statement read.
