There was a drama at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport when a woman who had just landed from Saudi Arabia attacked another woman she accused of selling her off.

The woman identified as Nelly Chelagat attacked the other woman identified as Salome for allegedly selling her off and abandoning her in the Middle East.

Chelagat could not overcome her emotions as she launched a scathing verbal and physical attack on Salome.

She could be heard hysterically inquiring why Salome was at the airport, yet she sold her off and left her to suffer.

"Salome, what have you come to do here? This is the woman who sold me off to Saudi Arabia. She wanted me to die. Let me get hold of her. Let go of me, let go of me. This is the woman who sold me off to Saudi Arabia," Chelagat said.

As she grabbed Salome, Chelagat inquired from her why she sold her off to Saudi Arabia and why she wanted her to die.

"You sold be off to Saudi Arabia. You wanted me to die. Why did you want to kill me?" Chelagat inquired.

Some members of the public and a police officer intervened and restrained Chelagat from harming Salome.

The nonchalant Salome walked out of the incident with a defiant laughter after being rescued from Chalagat's wrath.

Chelagat was a domestic worker in Saudi Arabia where she claims to have endured torture, maltreatment and was also denied basic needs such as food and water.

She said she called the Kenyan embassy several times, but it was not until Kenyans online mounted pressure on the government that it took action.

“I had called the embassy several times, but no action was taken until Kenyans persuaded them to take action,” Chelagat said.

Chelagat appealed to the government to intervene and rescue the other Kenyans she left behind who she says live under deplorable conditions.

The incident comes barely a week after another similar case was resolved and a lady, Diana Chepkemoi, who suffered in Saudi Arabia was repatriated.

Kenyans have called upon the government to shut down such rogue agencies that organise work trips to the Middle East where it is reported many people suffer.
