Diana Chepkemoi, the 24-year-old Kenyan lady who recently came to the limelight after details about her suffering in Saudi Arabia emerged online has returned home.

Chepkemoi arrived at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on Tuesday afternoon to a warm reception by friends, relatives and well-wishers who chanted "More power to Diana! Long live Diana! and "Welcome Home!" praises to their own.

While speaking shortly after her arrival, the teary Diana disclosed that her friends back in the Middle East are suffering as they endure physical and psychological torture

“People are suffering in Saudi Arabia, my friends are suffering there. I'm glad I got support when I came out,” Diana said.

According to Diana, she left Kenya to look for greener pastures in Saudi Arabia only to end up regretting the move.

"I left Kenya to go to Saudi Arabia with the hopes of getting a better life and to be honest, mine was just the tip of the iceberg, people are suffering there. My friends are suffering,” she said.

Diana appealed to the Government of Kenya to help Kenyans working in Saudi Arabia as they are suffering.

"I plead with the government to rescue our people. They are psychologically and mentally tortured. It's a shame being told that there is nothing the government can do," Diana said.

She emphasised that there were more Kenyans she left behind who are suffering in Saudi Arabia and also disclosed the shocking detail that some of them are not in sound mental health at the moment.

"I'm fortunate that I received support from people, but there are those who are not mentally okay as they don't know their names or their surroundings," Diana said.
