The scrutiny and recount of presidential ballot papers from 15 disputed polling stations is ongoing at Forodha House, Nairobi.

The Supreme Court received about 45 ballot boxes from the said 15 polling stations on Wednesday morning.

Court officials received the ballot boxes on Wednesday morning amid tight security offered by General Service Unit (GSU) officers and regular police.

So far, the scrutiny of ballot papers for Majengo polling station in Mombasa County has been complete.

However, there already are glaring errors the process has flagged. For instance, Forms 34A are blank, yet on the IEBC portal, there are results and all the provided forms 32A are blank, even though there were people who voted manually.

The police were deployed to the Milimani Court to oversee the exercise and ensure the smooth running of the exercise.

Members of the media were first asked to step aside in order to give room for the agents and persons charged with the responsibility of recounting the votes.

According to the Supreme Court, two agents from each party will represent their parties and shall at all times be under the supervision of the Supreme Court's registrar and her staff.

The vote recounting exercise was scheduled to start on Tuesday afternoon and is expected to end on Thursday by 2 pm.

The Court’s Registrar is then expected to file a report by 5 pm and provide copies of the report to all parties.

Th 15 polling stations in which recounting was ordered include Nandi Hills and Sinendeti Primary School in Nandi, Belgut, Kapsuser and Chepkutum Primary Schools in Kericho county, Jomvi, Mikindani and Ministry of Water tanks Tanks in Mombasa County
