The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairperson Wafula Chebukati has specified the time he will announce the presidential results.

In a media invite to media houses, Chebukati said the announcement will be made on Monday at 3:00 pm at the Bomas of Kenya.

"The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) invites you to cover the announcement of Presidential Results," the announcement read.

Kenyans are eagerly waiting for the announcement from Chebukati who is the Presidential Returning officer amid mixed reactions.

Supporters of the two main presidential hopefuls namely Raila Odinga of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition and Deputy President William Ruto of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance have each expressed their optimism that their faction will carry the day.

Political leaders both elected, and those who failed to clinch seats in the Tuesday poll have arrived at the Bomas of Kenya where Chebukati is expected to declare who the winner is.
