Political leaders have streamed into the Bomas of Kenya where the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) set up its national tallying and verification centre.

Politicians from across the country have filled in the Bomas auditorium, which is the venue the IEBC chairperson Wafula Chebukati is expected to announce who the next president of Kenya is going to be.

The Tuesday poll is one of the most contested ones that pitched four presidential candidates against one another namely Raila Odinga, William Ruto, George Wajackoyah and David Waihiga.

Out of the four presidential hopefuls, Wajackoyah and Waihiga who have come in third and fourth respectively in the presidential race have already arrived at the bomas of Kenya.

At the moment, Kenyans are eagerly waiting for the announcement which the IEBC chairperson has hinted will be made at 3:00 pm.

Supporters of the two major contestants in the presidential race are optimistic that their faction will emerge victorious.

However, one dominant message across all political divides is peace and unity prevail whichever way it goes.
