The tallying process of the election results from across the country is ongoing at the Bomas of Kenya auditorium amid tension.

Interruption and chaos have marred the process from a section of politicians who are in the space to safeguard the interests of the parties they represent.


The latest incident happened on Saturday when CAS Rachel Shebesh demanded that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) halt the verification process over alleged irregularities.

According to a video seen by Swala Nyeti, the team alleged there were two individuals who were involved in some fraudulent activities.

Other leaders from the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition joined her in making the demands and they chanted as they made the demands.

It took the intervention of General Service Unit Officers who stepped in to quell the volatile situation.

However, Shebesh maintained her stand that the process needed to stop until the individuals were removed from the auditorium.

In another incident, Esther Passaris ejected another individual from the auditorium, claiming he was among the people who were sneaking in unauthorised documents 


Raila Odinga's chief agent Saitabao Ole Kanchory also identified another individual he claimed had no business in the forms verification area.

He also frogmarched the man out of the verification area.


Initially, the orderlies blocked Ole Kanchory from accessing the result verification area causing a commotion.

He seized a moment during the commotion and walked to the podium and used the public address to declare the national tallying centre was a 'scene of crime'.

"I want to announce to the nation that Bomas of Kenya is a scene of crime," Ole Kanchory shouted.

A similar scuffle ensued on Friday between Azimio and Kenya Kwanza agents when Azimio coalition agents raised an issue with the presence of an unidentified gadget and that culminated in the temporary suspension of the tallying process.
