Nakuru County Governor Lee Kinyanjui has rejected the Nakuru gubernatorial results that declared his competitor Susan Kihika the governor-elect for the county.
Lee announced in a presser on Saturday afternoon that they were in talks with their legal teams and other technical teams deliberating on the next course of action.
He questioned the voting pattern in a section of polling stations where the total number of votes was similar.
“As a team, we are currently speaking with our legal and other technical teams, including ICT, with a view to taking necessary actions,” Lee said.

He also noted that the number of votes for each elective seat did not tally with the ultimate figures, prompting him to probe how some voters only voted for an individual.
Lee said the outcome of the tallying process could not be trusted as he hinted at attempts to subvert the electoral process by manipulation of election results, therefore shortchanging the voters' rights.
“Wanjiku votes and our responsibility is only to count what she has voted, we have no business manipulating what she has voted. Our conclusion is that the integrity of the process cannot be guaranteed and the outcomes do not reflect what Wanjiku did,” he said.
He accused the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) of the anomalies that occasioned his loss and that of other candidates.
Other Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition-affiliated leaders who contested for the senatorial, parliamentary and county assembly seats flanked Lee during the presser.
They said the polls were marred with malpractices such as violence, voter bribery and restriction of party agents in a section of polling stations.
The IEBC declared Kihika the winner after garnering 440,707 votes in the Tuesday poll against Lee who received 225,623 votes.
