Police have been given 14 days to detain Lawrence Njoroge Warunge, the chief suspect in the murder of four family members and a worker in Kiambu County.

Kiambu Chief Magistrate Patricia Gichohi allowed police to also hold Warunge’s girlfriend Sarah Muthoni to allow them conclude their investigation into the gruesome murders.

Gichohi ordered that Warunge be be detained at Gigiri Police Station and his girlfriend at the Muthaiga Police Station.

The case will be mentioned on January 25.

Warunge and his girlfriend were arrested days after the bloody killing of his father, mother, two siblings and their worker at his family home in Karura, Kiambu county.
