Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition presidential candidate has registered more numbers in Kenya Kwanza Alliance principal Musalia Mudavadi’s backyard than Deputy President William Ruto.

So far, Raila has garnered 143,371 votes while his major opponent Ruto of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance trailed him with 79,722 votes.

This comes even after Mudavadi had pleaded with residents of Vihiga not to embarrass him by voting for UDA candidates.

Mudavadi challenged his supporters in the region to elect an ANC MP in his backyard in order to raise his stake in the Kenya Kwanza Alliance administration.

He asked Vihiga residents if they could imagine a situation where residents in Deputy President William Ruto’s Sugoi home vote for an ANC candidate.

“If you look keenly, do you think Sugoi residents can elect an ANC MP in their backyard despite some of us being on one coalition?” Mudavadi posed.

“Let’s be honest and say the truth as much we are going to form a government, yes, but Ruto's home MP will be from the UDA party."
