The Postal Corporation of Kenya has appointed Peter Wangai Kanaiya as the chairman of the Board of Directors for a period of three years.

ICT CS Joe Mucheru announced Kanaiya’s appointment via a Kenya Gazette Notice dated July 15, 2022.

The Vice Chairman of the Postal Corporation of Kenya Board of Directors Erick Bett, Postmaster General Dan Kagwe and the Corporation Secretary Julius Opini welcomed Kanaiya.

Kanaiya’s appointment comes following the death of the former chairman Njoroge Nani Mungai who died early this year.

The new Kenya Posta appointee has previously served as a board member of several state corporations among them, the Betting Control and Licensing Board.

While accepting his appointment, Kanaiya said Kenya Posta stands a chance to reclaim its former glory both in the country and regionally by embracing ICT.

“By embracing ICT and cutting-edge technology, PCK will hopefully get back to its glory days as the preferred logistics partner in Kenya,” Kanaiya said.
