The Kenya Kwanza leaders were speaking during their rally at Mtomondoni in Kilifi County on Sunday when they alleged despite promising to campaign in the Mount Kenya Region, Uhuru is yet to be seen on any campaign trail.

ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi claimed Uhuru left Raila to fight alone region since the campaigns started.

“Mr Kenyatta has not held a single rally with Mr Odinga in Mt Kenya. The other day he took a plane to Rwanda instead of helping his handshake partner to campaign in his backyard,” Mudavadi claimed.

Mudavadi noted the campaign window was closing with only a month to go, but Uhuru has not campaigned for Raila even after he picked Martha Karua as his running mate.

“Even after Mr Odinga nominated Ms Martha Karua as his running mate, Mr Kenyatta is yet to campaign for them. It is a month to the elections but he has not done that,” Mudavadi said.

This fresh allegation is a far cry from Kenya Kwanza’s earlier request to Uhuru not to meddle in the election and leave Raila to face them on his own.
