Kenya Kwanza Alliance presidential candidate William Ruto has accused Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition presidential candidate Raila Odinga of instigating the chaos that was witnessed at the Jacaranda Grounds on Sunday.

Ruto took to his social media accounts to make the accusation against Raila and also claim how much he is out of touch with the challenges of the country.

"Mr Kitendawili, so much for being clueless, rudderless, and planless about the challenges of our nation and the solutions thereof. The big question Kenyans are asking you, which you have refused to answer, is when are you going to stop using violence as your tool for seeking power???" Ruto tweeted.

Apparently, the two major political outfits booked the same venue for political meetings on the same day and supporters from both divides argued about who was supposed to hold their meetings before the police intervened and dispersed the rowdy crowds.

The police later cordoned off Jacaranda Grounds to avoid any further clashes between supporters of the two factions.

UDA issued a statement pointing an accusing finger at the Azimio Coalition alleging that they used the National Police Service (NPS) to cause the chaos witnessed and disrupt their political function.

The party also wrote a letter to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) asking the commission to summon the Inspector General of police Hillary Mutyambai over the Jacaranda incident.

UDA further asked the IEBC to disqualify the Embakasi East legislator Babu Owino from the August general elections allegedly for orchestrating the violence and holding them hostage.

UDA accused babu of masterminding the Jacaranda skirmishes since he had earlier laid claim that he had already booked the premises on behalf of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition.
