Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has lamented over what he termed “politics of deceit and conmanship” in Kenya Kwanza and vowed to skip all its rallies until his issues are tackled.

Kuria, who is running for Governor in Kiambu, is accusing Kenya Kwanza alliance, which is headed by Deputy President William Ruto, of sidelining political parties from Mt Kenya.

In an interview on Citizen TV on Sunday, the Chama Cha Kazi party leader accused UDA of excluding and mistreating Mt Kenya parties and excluding them from Kenya Kwanza rallies.

He noted that Musalia Mudavadi's ANC and Moses Wetangula's Ford-Kenya parties planned Kenya Kwanza rallies in Western Kenya yet his CCK and William Kabogo’s Tujibebe Wakenya were excluded from Kiambu meetings by the Ruto alliance.

"When it comes to planning meetings in Mt Kenya, they are held exclusively by UDA and we are locked out, for me it is sad and strange. Even when it comes to the campaign team called Hustler Express, which is my brainchild, when they come to Kiambu, we are locked out," Kuria lamented.

The MP claims they were dealing with the same issues of “political deceit and conmanship” that drove them out of the ruling Jubilee party, the party that sponsored him to Parliament.

Kuria claims his party has fielded 231 candidates for various seats in the August poll hence deserved better treatment alongside other political parties in the Kenya Kwanza alliance.

"Do you know my party CCK has 231 candidates eyeing various seats across the country? What business can you tell me that this party is dominant? Why not give our candidates the chance?" he posed.

He went on, "UDA has rubbished opinion polls. Why not wait for 50 days? If we are that insignificant why invite us to the coalition?"

This comes days after an ugly spat between Kabogo and Kimani Wamatangi during a Kenya Kwanza rally in Kiambu led by UDA presidential running mate Rigathi Gachagua with Kuria and Kabogo accusing UDA of sidelining other parties.
