CCTV footage has emerged online that captured a robbery happening at an unidentified Kenyan residence.

According to the person who shared the video footage online, the incident happened in Gataka, Ongata Rongai.

The time stamps on the CCTV footage place the incident on Sunday at around 2 am.

In the video that has since gone viral, a group of about five heavily armed thugs are seen accosting the female victim as she entered her compound in her car.

The criminals proceed to the car, wielding machetes and guns and seemingly order the victim to open the doors.

Unfortunately, the victim seems to be too scared to open the door or reverse the car out.

The brazen thugs then descend on the vehicle with their machetes and break the driver's side window glass then force the woman out.

They then frogmarch the woman into the house where they proceed with harassing of the innocent woman.

CCTV cameras inside the house capture the criminals ransacking the house hoping to scavenge some valuable assets.

One criminal is seen disconnecting a sound bar audio system and manhandling the poor woman perhaps demanding something the woman could not give.

His other accomplice appears with a bag and they fill it with stolen items from the woman’s house before the clip ends.

The robbery is just one of the many in the recent spate that residents of Rongai have been complaining about.

Just a week ago, a student at the Catholic University of East Africa (CUEA) was stabbed by criminals near the Kobil area.

She was rushed to a Rongai hospital moments later where she lost her life before being attended.
