Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Cheboi was on Sunday involved in a road accident that has left a motorcycle rider dead.

The accident that occurred on the Mau Summit-Molo road also left the bodaboda rider’s passenger seriously injured on the feet and hands.

The deputy speaker is reported to have collided with the motorbike as he attempted to avoid potholes on a stretch on the busy road.

Confirming the crash, Nakuru County Police Commander Titus Kizito said Cheboi was rushed to a hospital in Nakuru town with minor wounds.

The body of the deceased was moved to the Molo Sub-County hospital morgue while the injured passenger was treated at the same hospital.
